D\u00e9couvrez le projet de Pr. Tabrizian portant sur une plateforme innovante de vaccins th\u00e9rapeutiques .<\/p>\n<p>Le cancer m\u00e9tastatique, responsable de pr\u00e8s de 90\u00a0% des d\u00e9c\u00e8s li\u00e9s au cancer dans le monde, demeure un d\u00e9fi m\u00e9dical majeur. Sa complexit\u00e9 tient \u00e0 l\u2019h\u00e9t\u00e9rog\u00e9n\u00e9it\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9tique des tumeurs, \u00e0 la capacit\u00e9 des cellules canc\u00e9reuses d\u2019\u00e9chapper au syst\u00e8me immunitaire et \u00e0 leur grande adaptabilit\u00e9. Les traitements conventionnels, comme la chirurgie, la radioth\u00e9rapie ou la chimioth\u00e9rapie, offrent peu de solutions contre les m\u00e9canismes de la m\u00e9tastase, ce qui m\u00e8ne souvent \u00e0 des r\u00e9cidives et \u00e0 un mauvais pronostic.<\/p>\n<p>Face \u00e0 ces limites, les vaccins th\u00e9rapeutiques apparaissent comme une approche prometteuse en mobilisant le syst\u00e8me immunitaire pour cibler directement les cellules canc\u00e9reuses. Toutefois, plusieurs obstacles persistent, notamment l\u2019identification d\u2019antig\u00e8nes tumoraux pertinents et la mise au point de syst\u00e8mes d\u2019administration efficaces.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019activit\u00e9 de la Pre Tabrizian vise \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper une plateforme innovante exploitant des nanoparticules lipidiques hybrides (hLNPs) d\u00e9riv\u00e9es de bact\u00e9ries pour concevoir de nouveaux vaccins \u00e0 base d\u2019ARN contre le cancer. Ces hLNPs combinent des lipides d\u2019origine bact\u00e9rienne \u00e0 des lipides synth\u00e9tiques, offrant une meilleure biocompatibilit\u00e9, stabilit\u00e9 et efficacit\u00e9 de livraison de l\u2019ARN que les nanoparticules classiques. Elles peuvent aussi \u00eatre produites \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des bact\u00e9ries g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement modifi\u00e9es, r\u00e9duisant ainsi les co\u00fbts de fabrication et rendant possible le criblage \u00e0 haut d\u00e9bit.<\/p>\n<p>Pour y parvenir, l\u2019activit\u00e9 int\u00e9grera de multiples plateformes pour le design, la caract\u00e9risation, l\u2019\u00e9valuation et la validation des hLNPs, comprenant\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Outils de conception assist\u00e9e par intelligence artificielle et apprentissage automatique pour optimiser les formulations, identifier des tendances dans les donn\u00e9es, r\u00e9duire les processus d\u2019essais-erreurs et pr\u00e9dire les performances des hLNPs.<\/li>\n<li>Analyses in <em>vitro, in vivo<\/em> et sur organes-sur-puce pour valider la stabilit\u00e9, l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 et l\u2019activation du syst\u00e8me immunitaire.<\/li>\n<li>Criblage \u00e0 haut d\u00e9bit afin d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer l\u2019identification des formulations les plus prometteuses.<\/li>\n<li>Outils bioinformatiques coupl\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019apprentissage automatique pour affiner la s\u00e9lection des candidats.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cette approche multiplateforme int\u00e9gr\u00e9e permettra d\u2019identifier rapidement les vaccins \u00e0 base d\u2019ARN les plus prometteurs et de cette activit\u00e9 a le potentiel de transformer la recherche et le d\u00e9veloppement de vaccins th\u00e9rapeutiques contre le cancer et de positionner le Qu\u00e9bec parmi les leaders mondiaux de ce domaine \u00e9mergent.<\/p>\n<p>Cette activit\u00e9 b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie du soutien du gouvernement du Qu\u00e9bec par l\u2019entremise de M\u00e9dicament Qu\u00e9bec, qui y investit
