Through its valorization program, Médicament Québec supports teams in the development, structuring, and long-term sustainability of promising platforms for Québec’s drug development ecosystem.
As part of the program, participating teams recently presented their projects during a pitch session marking the culmination of their journey.
Today, we invite you to discover Protei+, an initiative led by Jean-François Lemay, researcher at the CNETE, which offers protein production, optimization, scale-up, purification, and formulation services to support research and innovation.
Through a flexible and agile approach, Protei+ helps accelerate protein development while reducing costs, timelines, and dependence on foreign suppliers. The team also integrates artificial intelligence into its processes to further optimize its capabilities.
Already active in the field, the initiative has developed more than 30 proteins, produced over 50 mutants, and established several academic and industrial collaborations across Québec, Canada, and internationally.
