Médicament Québec is proud to publish its Impact Report, which provides an overview of the organization’s structuring role since its creation in 2021 within Québec’s drug development ecosystem.
A strategic investment serving collaboration
Through a strategic investment from the Government of Québec, Médicament Québec invested $23M in structuring and collaborative activities aimed at strengthening drug development capabilities across the province.
This commitment made it possible to mobilize an additional $17.1M from partners, for a total investment of $40.1M, deployed across 19 research activities. These initiatives brought together 65 distinct partners from academic and industrial communities, who contributed to the development of sustainable technology platforms at the heart of a structured, interconnected, and durable ecosystem.
An effect-lever exceeding expectations
The results demonstrate a clear and measurable leveraging effect:
for every $2 invested by Médicament Québec, $1.49 in additional funding was generated, significantly surpassing the initial target of $1.
